

Betty graduated from San Antonio College with an associate's degree and pursued a career in bookkeeping. Beyond her professional life, Betty had a passion for sports car road racing and had been a member of the Beaumont Sports Car Club of America. She also cherished her time in a sorority and found joy in activities such as ballet, ballroom dancing, snow skiing and playing blackjack in Las Vegas.
Known for her strong work ethic, Betty was a dedicated individual who approached life with enthusiasm and diligence. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Mildred Perry, and her brother, Edwin Perry. Betty is survived by her loving children: Sherry Penshorn Smith and her husband Charles, David Williamson and his wife Lucy, and Kitty Williamson Salinas and her husband Carlos. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Paula, Halsey, Jason, Will, Chrissy, Lori, and Paul as well as 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, who brought her immense joy throughout her life.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Bulverde Animal Shelter in memory of BeBe, reflecting her compassion for animals.
Betty R. Cook will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, love of adventure, and dedication to her family and community. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
