Betty Nuttall Hastings

She was born Betty Wynette Ridings on July 29, 1926 in Thomaston, GA to Herbert and Vera Ridings. She grew up in Cedartown, GA, married LTC Richard Nuttall, US Army pilot and lived in and out of the country through many military transfers.

After her husband's retirement they resided in San Antonio. After his passing she moved to her hometown in Georgia. She married Will Hastings in 1987. After his passing in 2006, she returned to San Antonio where she resided until she passed away. She was involved in the Presbyterian Church where she served on numerous boards and committees.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Wright Nuttall and Willard Hastings, and sister, Reba Ridings York.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Nuttall Munoz; son, Richard Nuttall II; son-in-law, H. Luis Munoz; grandsons, Matthew Wright Munoz and Luke Alexander Munoz; sister, Sue Zygmont; sisters-in-law, Nancy Nuttall Gray and Mary Ann Nuttall; brother-in-law, Lloyd H. Gray, Jr.; stepdaughter, Julie Hastings Schneider; stepson, John Hastings; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
