

Betty Mae Huebinger, daughter of Edward R.Calogero, Sr. and “Beulah”M.E.Johnson Calogero, passed away on Saturday, November 19 at the age of 93. She was a loving family member and friend to all. With an infectious smile, cheerful disposition and laughter, she earned the nickname L.B. (Laughing Betty).
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Anton (Chuck) Huebinger.
Surviving family members include Edward R. Calogero, Jr. (brother); Pat Calogero (sister-in-law); Vicki Goff, Patti Huebinger and Cindy Edwards (daughters); Tom Huebinger (son); Mark Anderson and Bob Edwards (sons-in-law), and Rebecca Huebinger (daughter-in-law). Betty’s lineage also continues with grandchildren Katherine Thole, Wesley Edwards, Rachael Sutherland, Clay Huebinger, and Claire Dawson and five great grandchildren. These youngest family members include Elise and Lukas Thole, Arthur, Genevieve, and Hughes Edwards.
In addition to her loving dedication to family, Betty was an active contributor in communities where she lived and worked, including the retirement years spent with her husband in Wimberley, Texas.
Her family truly appreciates the loving care of Betty during her time at Silverado/The Auberge at Onion Creek Assisted living facility in Austin, Texas along with a heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Halcyon Hospice for their continuous and compassionate care for Betty.
A memorial service in honor of Betty will be held at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral
Home on Friday, December 2, 11 a.m. (1701 Austin Hwy. San Antonio, Texas). She
will then join her husband in rest at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San
Antonio.
