She was born on October 6, 1950 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Bonnie is predeceased by her parents, Ludie Joseph Degueyter and Lucy "Ethel" Lalonde Degueyter, and brother in-law Jim LeBlanc.
Bonnie is survived by her spouse, Kathie McGowan; Sister, Diane Degueyter LeBlanc; Brothers, Floyd Degueyter and wife, Lydia; Lloyd Degueyter and wife Myrtis; Glen Degueyter and partner Darrell Johnson; Jesse Degeytere and wife Roselyn, twin Brother Bobby Degueyter and wife Sue and Godchildren, Brenda Taylor, Kurt Degueyter and Shauna Stelly Coll and many Nieces and Nephews.
Bonnie retired from the US Air Force having served many years in telecommunications in Germany and in the U.S. One of her greatest accomplishments was successfully training as a Flight engineer and having the opportunity to fly with a C-5 aircraft team all over the world.
Bonnie built her first computer from scratch, and this motivated her to complete her BS degree in computer science. She loved working at Southwest Research Institute and CLM Equipment as a Network Administrator.
She was an avid supporter of dog rescues and assisted several with their technical computer needs. Her assistance extended beyond technical support, as she was a wonderful "foster mom" to hundreds of dogs and an accomplished bottle feeder to so many pups.
Bonnie was a strong and wonderful woman who fought cancer and beat it for ten years. Her family and friends are grateful for the extra time we had to share her life.
Donations in her memory may be made to Diamond Dachshund Rescue at DDRTX.org.
