Burke Kohl Burright was born in Waterloo, IA on January 20, 1942 to Claude & Bernice (Kohl) Burright and passed away on January 30, 2012 in San Antonio, TX. Burke was raised in Walnut Creek, CA. He received his BA from Stanford University, a Masters from UC Berkley and his PhD from UCLA. He worked for the Rand Corp. in Santa Monica, CA, Brooke AFB and Randolph AFB in San Antonio, TX. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Angela; 2 brothers-in-law and their spouses; 4 sisters-in-law and their spouses; 13 nieces and nephews; 4 great-nephews; 1 great-niece and a host of very good friends and colleagues. A gathering is scheduled for Friday, February 3, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Doctors and staff of Kindred Hospital for the loving care shown to Burke.
