Caleb Christopher Rangel Rogers left earth for heaven suddenly on November 8, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. He was dearly loved and a child of God. He was smart and funny and kind and giving, and he loved being around people. His dry sense of humor, his comical demeanor, and his witty comebacks drew people to him like a magnet.
He was married to his wife Amanda Rae Workman Rogers for 16 years, and he loved her very much. And she loved him very much. No matter what the circumstances, they always, always found their way to each other.
He worked at many jobs during his lifetime: media for a television station, fishing boats in Alaska, landscaping, bartending, waitstaff, and maintenance, to name a few.
He was born on February 25, 1975, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Armando Rangel and Lynda Ann (Rangel) Rogers. He is preceded in death by his father, his maternal grandfather Floyd Rogers, his paternal grandparents Cristobal Rangel and Esperanza Rangel. He is survived by his wife, his stepdaughter Ava Desirae Cavazos, his mother, his maternal grandmother Anita Rogers, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. He attended Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, Texas, graduated with honors, and loved playing football and golf for the Tigers. He graduated with an associate degree from Del Mar College, also in Corpus Christi.
He will be cremated and there will be no service.
Caleb was a remarkable and memorable person, and his family and friends are heartbroken that he left earth so soon. He was dearly loved, and he will be incredibly missed. Thank you, Caleb, for being your wonderful self here on earth. We wait eagerly to see you again in heaven.
“O Lord . . . all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:16
