

Calvin Lee Hill, age 90, of San Antonio, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021, in his home surrounded by family. He was born December 20, 1930 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Robert Lee Hill and Belva Pearl Box. He married Patricia Nichols on June 3, 1955 and they spent over 65 years together. They welcomed two children, Donna and David, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Calvin grew up travelling and living all over the United States. He eventually joined the United States Navy in 1950, serving as a Petty Officer First Class on the USS Randolph. After his service ended, Calvin attended school at Odessa College earning an Associate’s degree, and later his Realtor’s License.
Calvin was a people person. His previous jobs as a Designer, Salesman, and Real Estate Agent showcased this. He worked at: Montgomery Wards, Sears, JC Penny, Karotkin Furniture, and Eastern Products. He retired as the Director of Transportation for Patriot Heights, a retirement community in San Antonio. After retirement, Calvin spent his time as a volunteer with the VA Hospital, and enjoyed his hobbies. Calvin’s hobbies included: crossword puzzles, reading, and wood working. He was a true artist at carving wood. He also loved watching old western movies, learning about history and different languages.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Hill, of Corsicana, two children, David Hill and his wife Leisa of Portland, Oregon, and Donna White and her husband Larry of San Antonio; five grandchildren: Sarah Zurovec and her husband Duane, Emily Stroud and her husband Steve, Jamison LeBlanc and his wife Bianca, Nathanael Hill and his wife Rachel, and Josiah Hill and his wife Sarah; and six great-grandchildren Katelyn, Davis, Dean, Aidan, Dean, and Silas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Hill and Belva Pearl Kitto, and his sister Thelma Houston.
