Candelaria Delgado Zuniga

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Candelaria Zuniga, age 75, entered into eternal rest on July 16, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Felipe L. Zuniga; her parents Amador & Ester Delgado; siblings Nicholas Delgado, Domingo Delgado, Amador Delgado, Pablo Delgado, Elida Ramirez, Manuelita Vargas; and granddaughter, Elena Zuniga.

Candi will always be remembered for her kind heart and the love she showed to everyone. She was a case worker for Meals on Wheels for 15+ years and loved her job. She not only worked for them but continuously gave back volunteering during the holidays for the program. Along with her work she was extremely active for 30 years with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She held several positions through the years, Jr. Vice, Sr. Vice, and president of District 20. After her time of service, she generously donated her time and knowledge to those who needed it.

She is survived by her children: Retired Air Force Master Sergeant Rene Zuniga, Marco Zuniga (Lori), Paul Zuniga (Norma), Marine Sergeant Gregory Zuniga, 5 stepchildren, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, siblings Gabriel Delgado (Gabriele), Ruby Rico, Antonia Donavan, Carol Delgado as well as family and close friends.
