Candelario Chaen Flores Sr.

Candelario Chaen Flores, born on February 2, 1954, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025. He was a hardworking, dedicated, and supportive husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather until the very end. His unwavering love and commitment to his family will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Candelario was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Belinda Garcia Flores; his parents, Daniel Lopez Flores and Virginia Espino Flores; his siblings, Carlos Lopez, Rudy Flores, Leonard Flores, Norma Benavides, Francisco Flores, Angelica Alvarado, Richard Flores, and Yolanda Guerrero; and his grandson, Pierce Wilkins.

He leaves behind a loving family who will carry on his legacy: his children, Tanya Moore (Travis), Tammy Flores (Eddie Noriega), Tamara Flores (Martin Gutierrez), Candelario Flores Jr.(Rebecca Poppe), Tatum Wilkins (Preston), and Chase Flores (Felicia); his cherished grandchildren, T’yaira Moore, Travis Moore Jr., Tristian Moore, Tyler Moore, Jackson Noriega, Tyra Flores, Martin Jones, Christopher Jones, Jacob Jones, Ilise Flores, Trinity Rondash, Preston Wilkins Jr., Payton Wilkins, Toby Flores, Taylor Flores, Jeffrey Flores, Myra Flores, Chad Flores, and Madison Belinda Reyes; as well as three great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings, Domingo Flores (Andrea), Dorothy Reyes, Arlene Ybarra (Richard), Gloria Arredondo (Manuel), Evon Badillo (David), and Elizabeth Paulson, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who loved him dearly.

Candelarios kindness, strength, and devotion to his family were the foundation of his life. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his beloved wife and those who went before him.

There will be a Visitation held Friday, January 31, 2025 from 5:00 p.m to 12:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237. On Saturday, February 1, 2025 our doors will open at 8:30 a.m till 10:30 a.m. we will then meet at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Road, San Antonio, Texas 78237.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived and a man well-loved.
