Carlos Gonzalez

Carlos Gonzalez born on August 18, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas entered into rest on March 25, 2012 at the age of 63. Carlos served 2 tours in Vietnam where he received the Purple Heart. He was also awarded the Navy Achievement Medal, RVN Cross of Galantry w/Palm & Frame, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Device, and Rifle Marksman Badge.

Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, Ramona and Victor Gonzalez; and his son, Gabriel Gregory Gonzalez. Survivors include, his wife of 42 years, Frances Gonzalez; sons, Rudy Ray Rodriquez and wife Lisa, Carlos Victor Gonzalez, Frank Santos Gonzalez and wife Julie and Ramon Gabriel Gonzalez; 6 grandchildren, Celeste Marie, Meranda Lynn, Lyric Dawn, Alexandra Elizabeth, Frank Santos Jr. and Ashlynn Alexis; sisters, Rose Mary Gonzales, Josephine Johnson, Frances Miller and Hortencia Rodriguez; brothers, Robert and Victor Gonzales; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be from 5-9:00 pm on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 9:00 am on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
