My,Mom,Carmen Garcia Lopez ,went to Leal middle school ,on southcross,and later on continued to one of the most prominent,school '.s  in San Antonio ,URSULINE ACADEMY.  Wheshe went to that school  she was living with her grand-ma , and my WELITA CHIQUITA  EVEN THOUGH MY MOM COULD NOT READ OR WRITE MY MOM  WENT ANY WAYS,SHE HAD ONE FREIND , DEFINITELY A FRIEND TO A NEWCOMER  , Like  my MOM  THEY Struck a friend- ship, up . MY O,my she was not only a 
angel but her name was Angela ,as my mother was to me , and 
 EVERY BODY IN OR FAMILY ALSO. Angela.invited my mom, to a concert ,to see Elvis Presley ,the KING,MY MOM HAD NEVER HEARD OF HIM, BUT WENT TO MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM.  And  enjoyed it, WELITA" A " LA  CHIQUITA"A LOL.LIVED  CLOSE TO  brace bridge . OLMOS PARK,A VERY RITZI" PART OF TOWN.And ,use to take my mom shopping,and buy my mom ,pretty,clothes,My 
MOM asked her GRAND-ma.Where do get all these pretty clothes for me . " SHE REPLIED YOUR GRAN"PA  WAS A VETERAN, HE  DID NOT COME BACK , THATS WHY I HAVE MONEY,(Casate" con uno veterano, Mija & u will get it too.later  on in my mom's life MY MOM  one weekend with a friend to MK DAVIS,ON FLORES ST. HER FRIEND DANCE D  ALL  NIGHT WITH THIS MAN .THE NEXT WEEKEND THE SAME MAN WALKED UP TO THEIR TABLE  HER FRIEND WAS GETTING UP TO DANCE ' INSTEAD HE ASK MY MOM TO DANCE IT WAS MY DAD "MY SAID HE WAS SO HANDSOME.THEY MARRIED.HE WENT OFF TO WAR AFTER HAVING GETTING A PLACE FOR HER & MY BROTHER.CRIB,ETC.MY MOM SAVED ALL THE $ MY DAD SENT. & WHEN MY DAD CAME BACK MY MOM SAID LETS BUY A HOUSE.MY SAID .I HAVE NO MONEY ,I SENT YOU ALL .TO EAT MY MOM SAID I HAVE" SAVED MY DAD SAID U STARVE THE KIDS.RICE BEANS& TORTILLAS THEY ATE I SAVED$ 2000.THEY BOUGHT A 3 BR HS 4 $8000.My dad treated my mom AWESOME . ALL 45YRS& 6 KIDS THEY INSTiLLed in all of us HOW TO SAY WORDS LIKE THANK U, WELCOME.MAY I ,EXCUSE ME MANNERS.AS MY MOMS YOUNGER SISTERS .STILL ALIVE JULIA RUIZ(DELORES GHERMAN,& their spouses .have blessed my cousins,also. My dad'

  My Auntie was such a lovely and warm woman who will be missed greatly.  We are blessed with people who touch our lives in ways we can barely understand.  Love you, Nora ♥️🙏🙏🙏

You and your husband help raise a wonderful man, You were his mama too. And he loved you so very much. You were the best grandma to him and I know he is forever grateful for you grandma Carmen. We will miss everyday. Thank you for welcoming me into your family with open arms.

Since I met Carmen the summer of 1964, we became very close, especially since we were married to brothers. Carmen was very special &we took a liking to each other. Well that summer l went to visit with my older son that was 10 months old. We had a picnic at the park and l made Rodolfo play baseball. I'd yell at him "Run Rodolfo Run "& Carmen said No Vina ur gonna make his screws, unscrew and my old man will fall apart. We laughed so much but it was funnier when Carmen said it in Spanish. I was young & she gave me a few pointers on married life. She was a very good cook,& she'd whip up something good out of nothing. There are so many things I'd like to say about Carmen. Their trips up here to California were always a blast! Especially their bus trips to Las Vegas Ramiro & l would go join them to see the whole Texas clan; Carmen would be so happy-she'd say: l told them l ud come,  esta mujer esta loca. Omagosh too many years,  too many awesome memories. Carmen & l had a very special bond. She touched many lives with her outstanding LOVE & KINDNESS. We went through many sad, happy & a hell of alotta fun, good times together. Yesterdays treasures & today's memories. Carmen took care of her mom with all her heart. Carmen achieved so much &she had a great life with lots of love & fun. She also was a warrior tackled many obstacles that crossed her life's journey. It seems that when our love ones pass,it's when we share our treasured stories about them. Carmen &l had our treasured memories that we kept in our hearts 💕. We felt comfortable &content..to share our deepest secrets with each other. Dear father in heaven l praise u for leading Carmen into ur door & welcoming her onto ur land. For now she's walking with her husband Rodolfo hand &hand along side of Jesus. 🙏 AMEN  With all my love & prayers Tia Vina

She was a loving mother and is survived by her sons, David Lopez, Rodolfo G. Lopez, Martin G. Lopez, Rene G. Lopez; daughters, Irma Salazar and Ida G. Lopez; her companion of over 10 years, Rosendo Ramos along with 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.


She is preceded in death by her brothers; Juan Garcia, Richard Garcia, Pete Garcia, Fernando Garcia and Joey Garcia.
