Carmen Orona, age 78, of San Antonio, died Saturday, November 24, 2001. She retired after 30 years at Kelly Air Force Base. Mrs. Orona was an active member of Holy Name Parish, where she was the founding member and 1st President of the Society of Our Lady of Guadalupe and was also involved in many other parish and civic organizations. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Orona was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Orona. Survivors: four daughters, Carmen Louise Lopez and husband, David, Patricia A. Brandon and husband George, Virginia Celeste Gengenbacher and husband, Steven, and Bertha O. Gonzaba and husband, Louis; five sisters, A.E. Celestino, Connie Alvarez, Lupe Santos, Janie Fisher and Lucy Seta; twelve grandchildren, Leticia, David Luis, Christopher, Anamaria, Stephanie, Catherine, Virginia Ann, Steven Luis, Luisa Jo, Sheena, Louie, and Joey; three great grandchildren, David Greer, Hunter, and Miles.
