Carol M. Eddleman passed away June 2, 2011 at the age of 89. She was born December 25, 1921 in Oberlin, Kansas. She graduated from Kansas State University and was a hospital dietitian in the U.S. Army during WWII and Korea. She was predeceased by husband, Col. Richard E. Eddleman (ret. USA) and by younger son, Richard Steven. Following her husband’s retirement in 1971, they settled in San Antonio, where she was an active volunteer with the San Antonio Symphony, Oakwell Branch Library, and various political activities. She was also a member of the Windcrest Methodist Church and the Windcrest Women’s Club. Survivors include Ann Charlotte Ramert and husband Mark Ramert, Margaret Julia Imlay and husband John Imlay, son John Tudor Eddleman; grandchildren Scott Bianchi, Lisa Bianchi Luna and husband Jaime Luna, and Alex Imlay. A private interment ceremony will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice and her special caregiver, Maricela Cruz.
