

Carol Ann Irvin, age 70, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014 after a long and courageous battle with COPD. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to parents Robert Carl and Ruthanna King Ostrosky. After high school, she pursued her career as a cosmetologist. Since her husband of 50 years worked for the airlines, she was able to indulge her passion for travel. Through her travels, she formed many friendships with acquaintances in England. She also enjoyed keeping in touch with friends and family using email and Facebook.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Ostrosky. She is survived by her husband, Michael Irvin; daughters, Michele Risner and husband, Brian and Lisa Gobel and husband Bryan; grandchildren, Brittany Risner, Travis Risner, Zachary Zaner and Zoe Zaner; as well as numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
The family would like to thank Dr. Sue Crow and the people at Optum Palliative & Hospice care (formerly Evercare) and Dr. Cisneros, Michelle, Rosario, Susie, Marilyn, Michele and all of the other nurses and employees who have been a tremendous help and made Carol's life as comfortable as possible.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Toledo, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the COPD Foundation at www.copdfoundation.org.
