Carolina T Charles

She was born to Jesus and Augustina Torres on June 1st, 1930, in San Antonio TX.

During her younger years Carolina spent a lot of time helping her family, whether it was traveling with her father from state-to-state picking cotton fields or helping make tortillas at the family restaurant before school. She accomplished many things early on in life including graduating Valedictorian from San Fernando Catholic School in 1949. Carolina took pride in everything she did, especially her work which earned her Employee of the Year at Santa Rosa Hospital in 1979. Carolina went on to marry the love of her life, Leo G. Charles, on July 1, 1955, they shared a wonderful 57 years together. Carolina was devoted to her faith and her family. She was a kind soul and could make friends with anyone she crossed paths with. Those that knew her admired her positive outlook on any situation that was handed to her. She had a great sense of humor. In her spare time, she loved to watch classic western movies and Judge Judy. Carolina lived her life with no regrets and will be deeply missed.

Carolina is preceded in death by her husband Leo G. Charles, daughter Rebecca A. Charles, parents Jesus and Augustina Torres, brothers Jose Torres, Abel Torres, Adolfo Torres, and sisters Josie Villarreal, Herlinda Varela, and Eva Martinez.

She is survived by her grandson Albert J Avila II; granddaughter Diandra Ramirez and her husband Bobby Ramirez; great grandchildren Sebastian Avila and Stetson Ramirez; brothers Jesse Torres Jr (Angie) and Lupe Torres (Janie) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A visitation for Carolina will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Resurrection will be Celebrated on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1314 Fair Ave, 78223 with interment to Follow at San Jose Burial Park.
