Joan graduated from Palo Duro High School in Amarillo where she met her future husband. She received her BA in Music from West Texas State University and married shortly after.
Joan was a church organist since she was a teenager and continued in San Antonio. She made lots of wonderful music as a highly skilled and talented musician for many churches, many denominations over her career.
When not playing or teaching she was a wonderful homemaker, wife and mother.
Joan is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Clyde A Hudgins; son, Jeffrey A. Hudgins and wife, Amy Saidens; granddaughter, Avery Hudgins; sister, Joyce Gilbreth- Kokel; brothers, David and Mark Wallace and numerous nieces and nephews.
