Carolyn Nell Lehman

She was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 18, 1940. A graduate of Alamo Heights High School (Class of '57) and of Southern Methodist University, she received numerous accolades and awards and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

Carolyn was an English teacher at Clark High School for more than 18 years.

An avid reader and writer who loved the classics, she was known for her sharp wit, irreverent sense of humor and beautiful laugh.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Clay Hughey Lehman and Elizabeth Carolyn Lehman, and grandson George Henry Gaskell.

She is survived by her loving children: Elizabeth Lee Gaskell, George Crosby Gaskell III and wife Whitney, Haley Gaskell Beckel and husband Jeff, and their father George Crosby Gaskell, Jr. Carolyn has four beautiful grandchildren: Samuel Finn Gaskell, Crosby Lee Beckel, Carolyn Josephine Beckel and John Mastin Beckel. She is also survived by her brother Henry Clay Lehman and wife Katherine and their children Gwen Lehman Severson and husband Dave and Kate Marshall Lehman and fianc Anthony Nuccio. She is also survived by her loving partner of 12 years, James A. Trotter.
