Carolyn Starkey

Carolyn Sue Starkey passed away on March 19, 2018 at the age of 79 in San Antonio, TX. She was born on September 11, 1938 to Perry and Wilma Starkey in Shawnee , OK. She is preceded in death by her parents; step-father: Ken Brown; Brother: Perry Starkey, Jr.; grandson: David Willhoite; and daughter-in-law: Robin Willhoite. She is survived by her sons: Michael Willhoite (Teri), Steve Willhoite (Autumn), Don Willhoite; grandchildren: Michelle, Jake, Emma, Hannah, Don Jr., Mark , Matthew; great grandchild: Judah and other loving family members and friends.

Carolyn had an upbeat attitude that just graced everyone in her presence. She never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. She graduated from UTSA and Incarnate Word and loved her VA job helping veterans with PTSD. She loved to cook and bake, hot air ballooning and spending time with friends. She was very creative and enjoyed making Jolly Goblins at Halloween with the kids and grandkids.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2PM Emerald Oaks Retirement Community, 20302 Bulverde Pkwy, San Antonio, TX 78259.
