Carrie Newton Gunn

She was the youngest in her family with four siblings, Ethel Newton Affleck, Iva Newton Altgelt, Janice Newton Rennart, and Carl D. Newton Jr., all of whom are deceased. She attended high school in San Antonio at both Jefferson High School and graduating from St. Mary's Hall. She then proceeded to Hockaday Junior College in Dallas. On June 5, 1948, she married Robert Gibson Gunn Jr. in San Antonio. They moved to Pittsburgh PA and lived there until 1959 when they and their only child Robert Gibson Gunn III moved back to San Antonio.

Taddie loved flowers and art and travelling with Bob. Taddie and Bob had a passion for life and each other for 59 years together. They had a great run! Her other abiding love was the church. She enjoyed participating in the Episcopal Church and up to her final days hosted prayer group meetings in her home.

She is survived by her son, Robert Gibson Gunn III and his wife Shelly; and three grandsons, Robert Christian Gunn, William Stewart Gunn and his wife Kathryn, and George Gibson Gunn.
