Catherine V. Zaiontz Bourquin

Catherine V. Bourquin, age 85, passed away December 26, 2015. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert; her 5 daughters (& sons-in-law) Cheryl, Stephanie (Raul), Kyle (Michael), Stacie (Jerrold) and Kelley (Mark); her 11 grandchildren; and her 1 great grandson.

Catherine’s life revolved around her family, beginning with her one true love, Gilbert, whom she met in 1948. They dated and married in September 1949 and celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary this past September.

Catherine loved to travel, line dance, jazzercise, and playing Bunco once a month. She never liked sitting still. She lived life to the fullest. Other than spending time with her family, her two great joys in life were the Dallas Cowboys and gambling.

Catherine was a long-time member of St. Paul Catholic Church where she was a member and an officer of the Altar Society.

The Visitation, Rosary, and Funeral Service will be on Monday, January 4th with the Visitation starting at 9:30 am, the Rosary at 10:30 am and the Mass at 11:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church; 350 Sutton Dr.; San Antonio, TX 78228. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Paul Altar Society, 350 Sutton Dr.,San Antonio, TX 78228.
