Celia Fernandez Ochoa

Celia Fernandez Ochoa born to Petra San Miguel Fernandez and Cesar Fernandez on April 15, 1925 in Nuevo Laredo Mexico, peacefully went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ's loving arms on April 6, 2025 at the age of 99 surrounded by family. She was one of 13 children in which one was singer "Rosita Fernandez" Almaguer. As children they would sing at KCOR together. Celia loved her family and devoted her life to them. A mighty prayer warrior always on her knees, she will be forever missed. She's preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years Raul Peña Ochoa, granddaughter Salena M. Washington, great grandson Jake Ryan Paez, and great granddaughter Etta Joy Garcia. Survivors include her 5 loving children Celia O. Garcia, Roger F. Ochoa (Rosie), Martha O. Johnson (Lane), Carla O. Hernandez (James), and Raul E. Ochoa; also, 7 grandchildren George A. Garcia (Jennifer), Israel A. Garcia (Esther), Delina R. Englerth (Ben), Marisa Moheit, Mark A. Garcia, Paul D. Garcia (Amanda), and Claudia M. Ochoa (Johnathan Hernandez); 25 great grandchildren,; sisters, Nellie Ojeda and Ana Maria Herrera; also, many other family members and friends.

The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 2525 Palo Alto Rd., San Antonio,TX 78211, followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.

The Funeral Service will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025 in the funeral home Chapel.

Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1535 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio,TX 78209.
