

Celia Lara Riojas, a resilient and strong-willed woman, passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on November 15, 1946, Celia was a cherished resident of San Antonio, Texas. Her life was marked by a deep faith and a commitment to her community.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Guadalupe Lara, and her siblings, Olivia L. Garcia, Oralia L. Orosco, Concepcion L. Garcia, Miguel H. Lara Jr, Rodolfo H. Lara, Ernesto H Lara, Elisa L. Martinez, and Abel H. Lara.
Celia is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Alberto M. Riojas. She leaves behind her children, Albert L. Riojas Jr., Robert Riojas (Lynn), and Kathy Riojas. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Alyssa Riojas, Juliette Almaraz, Brendan Riojas, Diego Almaraz, Alekzander Almaraz, Cayden Riojas, and Leila Almaraz, as well as her brothers, Raymond H. Lara and Armando H. Lara and her numerous nieces and nephews.
Celia was passionate about crochet, crafts, and sewing, and she loved to garden. Her community involvement was significant; she volunteered at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church for over 50 years and was a dedicated member of the Guadalupanas.
Celia's feisty spirit and strong faith left a lasting impact on those who knew her. Her memory will be cherished by her family, friends, and community.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, 78211 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. On Friday, November 21, 2025 a Mass of Resurrection will be Celebrated at 9:00 AM at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
