Charles T. Briggs

Charles Thomas Briggs, 87, was born in San Angelo, Texas on May 14, 1931 and peacefully joined his Heavenly Father on December 13, 2018. He graduated from San Angelo High School in 1948 where he enjoyed being the Bobcat Drum Major. He lived in Brady, TX, Wichita, KS, Irving, TX and recently moved to San Antonio from Houston, TX.

Charlie traveled Texas working in the Life and Health Insurance Industry for American General Insurance Company, American Security Insurance Company and American National Insurance Company.

He enjoyed life activities in the Naval Reserves for 12 years, watching his children's and grandchildren's sporting events, attending Astros games, doing Chili Cookoffs, having the Boy Scouts camp at his property in Kosse, and weekends at the hunting lodge.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. and Caroline Aileen Summers Briggs, and his sister, Reva Briggs Baker.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Lynda St.Clair-Dierlam Briggs; daughter, Laura L. Briggs (Carrie Marquis) from Houston, TX; son, John Briggs (Kellie); stepdaughter, Elizabeth Dierlam Gonzales of Corpus Christy, TX; stepson, Christopher Dierlam (Jennifer Neel) from San Antonio; niece, Renea McCutcheon (Ray) of Boerne, TX; mother of his children, Ruth Briggs; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
