Charles Michael Cole, 69, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 4th, 2022, at his home in San Antonio, Texas. Formally known as Chuck or Mikey to close Family is now reunited with his loved ones in Heaven. His family finds peace in knowing he is free of pain and enjoying wonderful walks along the sanded beaches and dining at the most Heavenly Buffets. Enjoy Chuck! Until we meet again, you will be in our hearts forever.
Chuck was born August 11th 1952 in Maywood, California to parents Juanita and Andy Cole. He is one of two sons; his older Brother Ronnie Cole has since passed. Chucks passion for cars began at a young age and continued all throughout his life. It was the joy of entering his Duster into drag races and his friendships to Michael and Ronnie Murrill that lead him to the love of his life, their Sister Cindy. Chuck and Cindy married May 27th 1978 and remained happily married for over 43 years. Chuck and Cindys favorite memories in the early years included family poker nights, bowling leagues and his time playing slow-pitch softball with friends.
In June 1983 Chuck and Cindy welcomed their only Son Dustin and lived in Pomona, California where he dedicated several years of his time helping The Pomona Jaycees. It was there that he met several life-long friends and where they volunteered for their community together. Chuck was a devoted Father and found another passion in Coaching his son in The Ontario Mountain View Little League. It all started with Dustins first season of Minor B Angels as the coach. He continued for many more years and wore several hats from Coach, Chairman, and later President for the League. RIP Coach Chuck! Some of Dustins favorite memories as a kid include going to buy Baseball cards, special trips to Bobs Big Boy, family game nights and yearly family vacations to Laughlin. Although Chuck had several beautiful Show Cars throughout the years, nothing was as special as his 63 Plymouth Fury which he still has Today. In 2017 Chuck retired after 38 years in Manufacturing. During his retirement he enjoyed tuning up his Plymouth, going to weekly car shows and spending time with his Brother-in-Laws Bill and Michael. He also loved his monthly casino trips with Cindy and Dustin.
In 2019 Chuck and Cindy moved to San Antonio, Texas to join their Sons Family and finally enjoy retirement together. Although his time in Texas was brief, his Family was so touched to have made such wonderful memories together. Chuck enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports, exploring his new hometown, playing poker with friends, and spending time with Family. Chuck was a devoted Grandpa to Brady, Ryan, and Kason. His Grandkids favorite memories include building model airplanes, wrestling, movie nights and playing cars together. You will be missed greatly Grandpa!
One of Chucks favorite ways to spend a Saturday would include a scenic drive to Castroville, Texas for breakfast at Sammys and enjoying the beautiful blue skies above.
We ask that his Family and Friends share any fond memories and photos they have onto his Tribute Wall found on this website.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Dustin and Lindsays Home in San Antonio, Texas on March 5th, 2022, from 12pm - 3pm.
