

He was a graduated of Jefferson High School, Class of '44. At the age of 18, he joined the Navy and served in World War II. He returned home to start a restaurant business, 'Buddy's' Drive-In.
The drive-in chain was one of the first Drive-Inn's of San Antonio and was a favorite gathering place for teens growing up in the 50's and 60's.
He has been a member of the Gideons International North Camp, a founding member of the San Antonio Rescue Mission, served on the Bexar County Jail Ministry, member of the Shields for Christ and a member of Castle Hills First Baptist Church. He was very much involved in his community.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul V. Curry; and his mother, Jennie Curry.
Charles is survived by his wife, Marilyn Anne Curry; sister, Gladys Wallace of Wayzata, MN; sons, Billy G. Curry and wife Vivian, Chris V. Curry and wife Paula, Joe P. Curry and wife Kathy, Lynn C. Curry and Danny P. Curry and wife Nancy; daughters, Susie M. Carle and husband Bobby, Louann Hawkins and husband Ronney, Lela J. Eby and husband Tony, and Sally J. Cresswell and husband Troy; 25 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 expected; and numerous friends.
