

Charles Cecil Flesher of San Antonio died Friday, July 16 at Regent Care Center. Born on July 19, 1914 in Prairie Grove, Ark., Charles was the son of Charles C. Flesher and Winifred Dorman Flesher. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1929 and earned both bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Texas. Charles taught high school history before enlisting in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served with the Army of Occupation in Japan and remained in the Army Reserves, achieving the rank of lieutenant clolonel before he retired in 1974. During a long career in life insurance management, Charles held executive positions in companies based in Chiacgo, Kansas City, and Ft. Collins, Colo., and was a member of the Life Officers Management Association. He was a long time member of American MENSA and servied as treasurer of the San Antonio chapter. He was also a meember of the Flesher, Margaret US-Wilton Texas Ex-Students Association, the Retired Officers Association and the Reserve Officers Association Flesher, Margaret US-Wilton He worshipped at Covenant Presbyterian Church in San Antonio. Charles Flesher is survived by his sister, Rachel Kimbro, of Austin; his daughter, Margaret of Westport, Conn;and son, Charles Joseph.
