Charles W. Gordon, III

He was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 6, 1926 and was the son of Alma Jacobs Gordon and Charles William Gordon, Jr.

In 1944, Charlie graduated from Alamo Heights High School and was a graduate of Texas A&M University in 1950.

Mr. Gordon proudly served his country as a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy.

Charlie was the third generation owner of Gordon Printing Company. He was also a founding member of Northwood Presbyterian Church and a current member of Castle Hills First Baptist Church.

Mr. Gordon was a past President of the Kiwanis Club of San Antonio and held office in the Junior Chamber of Commerce and the San Antonio Printing Association.

He was a loyal member of the Texas A&M Club, the Cadillac Men's Club and Bible Study Fellowship. Charlie was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Daughtrey Gordon.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Gail; son, Charles W. Gordon, IV and wife Laurie, granddaughters Kylie, Laura and Jennifer of Corpus Christi; daughter, Gay Rogers and husband, Dr. Randall Rogers, of San Antonio; grandchildren, Stacy Sharp and husband, Nathan of Austin, Becky Rogers of Dallas and Matthew Rogers of San Antonio; stepson, Bob Brown and wife, Alyssa of Austin.
