

He was born on July 14, 1923 in San Antonio, where lived his entire life and raised his family.
Charles served in the Navy during WWII and the Korean conflict.
After his service with the Navy, he began a career with the U.S. Postal Service, where he retired in 1978.
He was also a member of the Bexar County Sheriff's Reserve Unit for nine years.
He was a life member of the VFW, where he served several terms as Post Commander.
He enjoyed helping others and was instrumental in organizing parties for those less fortunate during the holidays.
In the late 1960's, he co-hosted picnics for wounded Vietnam veterans from BAMC at the "Cabin" in Spring Branch.
Charles loved his family, adored his granddaughter, and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Charles is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Fern Perez and his son, Charles, Jr.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Pierre Ducros; his precious granddaughter, Lauren; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Alex Ramon; several nephews and numerous friends.
