Charles Schneider

Charles Walter Schneider Jr., age 81, passed away on December 19, 2011. Beginning with his service in the Army and following with a lifelong career as an engineer in the civil service, Charles dedicated his life first to his family and second to his country while always following Christ in his life.

He was a longtime member of Laurel Heights United Methodist Church.

Charles is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Jo Ann Schneider, and his parents, Charles Walter Schneider Sr. and Jessie Lowe Schneider. He is survived by his children: daughters, Elizabeth Hargita and her husband, Pete and Susan Schneider; son, Charles Lowe Schneider and wife, Denise; six grandchildren, Matthew Hargita, Michelle and Kelsie Hargita, Kevin Hargita, Lucas Schneider and Mason Schneider; brother, Thomas Schneider and his wife, Paula; sister-in-laws, Shirley Castle, Claudine Blackburn and Mary Morris.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
