

Charles Aloysius Toudouze, Sr, age 86, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Charles was born on June 21, 1923 in San Antonio, TX to A.C. and Della Toudouze.
Mr. Toudouze attended Central Catholic High School and was a graduate of Chaminade Preparatory High School and St. Mary's University. He was a charter member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for 70 years, and a member of Oblate Associates. Charles received the Archbishop Furey Award in 1977.
He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and Order of Alhambra. Charles was a World War II Veteran, Captain, Marine Corps Pilot. He served as President and CEO of Toudouze, Inc.
He was past chairman and director of Associated Employers, Inc., past chairman and director of San Antonio Better Business Bureau, past chairman and director of San Antonio Retail Merchants Association, past officer of Sierra Club and was the founder of Cattleman Square Association. Charles served on many community organizations, boards and committees in the past years which include: San Antonio Greater Chamber of Commerce, Community Chest, United Fund, United Way, National Conference of Christians and Jews, St. Mary's University Board of Governors, St. Mary's University School of Business Advisory, Lions Club, San Antonio Jr Chamber of Commerce and Toastmasters.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Heard Toudouze; daughters, Susan Raleigh Brotherman, Nancy John Starr, Sally Toudouze and Kathleen Steve Weirich; sons, Chuck Barbara Toudouze and Wilson Lynn Toudouze; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
