Charlotte Ann Hernden

Charlotte Ann Hernden, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. Charlotte was a lady of great style, class, and faith, who has now gone to her Lord and is with her beloved husband of 47 years, A.L. Hernden. Born in San Antonio on April 11, 1940, to parents, Lela Mae Adams and Raymond Darrell Hunt, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Together, Charlotte and A.L. traveled the world, but they got the most pleasure in life from simple things such as family gatherings and dinners with friends.

Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Miriam Campion (Bernard); stepdaughter, Jennifer Sparr; stepsons, John Hernden, Michael Hernden; and son-in law, Tim Brown. She will be greatly missed, especially by her grandchildren, Mallory Sparr, Richard Sparr III, Wesley Sparr, John Patrick Hernden, Hope Hernden, Timothy Brown, Parker Brown, Carolyn Campion, Courtney Campion, and William Campion.

Other family mourning her loss include sister-in-law, Betty Stout, and her children, Celeste Brown, Terri Wind, and Shawn Brown (Nicole) along with many other extended family, friends and loved ones.

In addition to her husband, Charlotte now joins her daughter, Stephanie Brown; her stepdaughter, Patricia Hernden; and her son James Orlando in eternal rest.

Life will go on, but the sparkle has been lost until we see her again.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2023, at Porter Loring Mortuary.
