Christina Galan Gonzalez, 95 years old, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2018. She was born in Eagle Pass, Texas. She married the love of her life, Gilbert G. Gonzalez in 1944. Her family and her Catholic religion were her priorities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert. They were married for 62 years. Christina is survived by her children: Mary Austad (Steve), Linda Hartman (Jim), and Gil Gonzalez; grandchildren: Lisa Garcia, David Hartman, Ray Austad, Kevin Hartman, Karissa Gonzalez, and Jonathan Pineda; great-grandchildren: Gabriela Garcia, Jillian Garcia, Kai Austad, Chloe Austad, Nia Hartman, Stella Gotthardt, Orin Hartman, Kyela Sotelo, and Kattileia Galvan. She was a member of Catholic Daughters at St. Joseph. Christina was a wonderful cook- enchiladas, and chile rellenos were some of her specialties. She will be deeply missed by many.
