
Christina Margaret Klein O'Dower, left this world to be one of God's angels on Monday, October 22, 200l. She was the oldest of ten children born to Pete and Barbara Gassen-Klein on December 6, 1919 in Custer County, Oklahoma. She was married to her loving husband, John Nicholas O'Dower, on April 17, l944, who survives her. She was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, including the Silver Stars. She was also a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, an International educational and philanthropic sorority. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Most of her closest friends and relatives will have lasting memories of Christina in the way of a hand-made quilt. Quilting was her hobby and she was a master quilter. Survivors, in addition to her devoted husband, John, include one daughter, Barbara Kathleen Perales, and husband, Gabriel Perales, Jr.; two sons, John Christian and wife Mary Clare O'Dower, of Catonsville, Maryland, and Patrick Werner O'Dower, of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, John Gabriel and wife, Julie Kathleen Perales, of San Antonio, Richard Perales, of Austin, Julia Christina and, husband, Robert Leisk, of Schertz; one great-grandchild, Kennice Isabella Leisk; sisters, Genevieve and husband, Frank McGoffin, Loretta Lovelace, Hilda Spencer, Elizabeth Ruyle, Carol and husband, Joe Johnson; one brother, Adolph Klein and wife, Rita, all residents of Oklahoma, and a host of other relatives and friends. She will be missed by everyone, as Christina always had a smile and encouraging words to lift one's spirits.
