As a child, Chris loved to play soccer and he played on multiple teams throughout school and even on men’s regional teams. Many of his lifelong friends and his brother Patrick played alongside him.
Chris’s faith was of utmost importance to him after his diagnosis, and he shared his faith in Christ with a lot of people. His love for Christ and faith in God was demonstrated even while he was going through treatments and he had so many others praying with him, for him, and over him. Chris was baptized in the belief that he was following Christ’s instruction. Chris attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church since early childhood.
Chris was a caring person who loved helping people, even doing so without asking for recognition or praise. As he fought colon cancer, he reached out to friends and family urging them to get checked before age 50 so that none of them would have the same devastating diagnosis. Chris set up a foundation to assist those unable to afford getting a colonoscopy which will continue and be a part of his legacy.
Chris graduated with a BBA from Texas Lutheran University and was president of the Sigma Lamda Chi Fraternity. Chris continued to be involved with the TLU Alumni and fraternity for years following graduation.
After college, Chris specialized in wealth management, life insurance, and strategic financial services. He partnered with NFA Wealth Management and was successful not only in managing accounts, but also managing meaningful relationships with his clients.
Chris is survived by his Wife Amber; stepsons Alex Green and Christian Green; his parents Roger and Norma Pastrano; brothers Roger (Ginger) Pastrano and Patrick (Amber) Pastrano; nephew Eros San Miguel; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
