Chuck Ramirez

On Christmas Day, 2015, God peacefully called Charles “Chuck” Thomas Ramirez home. On September 11, 1958, Chuck was born to his proud parents, Arthur Luis Ramirez (b. July 23, 1924) and Evelyn May Huebner (b. May 29, 1934), whom had married on February 27th, 1954. His sister, Susan (b. February 5, 1957) was excited to welcome her new baby brother! As a young child, Chuck traveled with his Air Force family before his father returned to San Antonio, Texas. Chuck attended secondary school in San Antonio. Subsequently, Chuck enlisted in the Air Force and proudly served. Chuck enjoyed his many friends, colleagues, and Christian fellowship in Miami over the years. Chuck enjoyed helping others and ministering the word of God because he saw the goodness of God in everything. Besides his love for God and Jesus, Chuck had no greater love than for his son David. Chuck cherished his relationship with David and loved him deeply. Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. Psalm 127:3. In heaven Chuck joins Arthur Ramirez (d. February 22, 2009), his beloved father; Evelyn Ramirez (d. May 9, 2008), his beloved mother; and Susan Ramirez (d. August 3, 2012), his beloved sister.

Chuck is survived by David, his son; and brothers Michael and wife Christy, Robert and his wife Patty, and Tony and his wife Nicole. Chuck loved so dearly his nieces and nephews: Julie, Lauren, Meagan, Gabriela, Nicolas, Addison, Cole, and Audrey.

Chuck, you are full of life, yet clothed in humility. You lift up everyone with an engaging smile and hearty laugh. You give and care unselfishly. You love unconditionally. You carry with you and minister the Word. You are a soldier for God. Know that we love and miss you mightily! God Bless you!

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2016 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with the committal service to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
