

CL Turcotte, husband, loving father, uncle, and beloved friend, died peacefully on November 14, 2020, in Bryan, Texas. CL was born December 4, 1944, in Jewett, Texas to Effie and Edgar Turcotte as the youngest of four children. The family moved to Pasadena, Texas when he was a young man.
CL married Carolyn Emerson in 1967 and they adopted their only child, Amy Wreyford in 1975. They settled in San Antonio where CL worked as a Regional Sales Manager for Quality Valve Company. Many years later, CL opened an oil and gas-based transport/construction business, and eventually settled in Bryan, Texas. He loved his 50+ years in the oil fields across the nation where he formed many special friendships.
Turcotte retired as a Major from the United States Army Reserves. CL loved his country and cherished his time serving under U.S. Army Major General Al Jones.
CL never met a stranger. He is best remembered for his infectious sense of humor, extreme generosity, and passion for classic cars, specifically hot rods.
CL is survived by his older brother James E. Turcotte, nephew Jamie Turcotte of Bryan, Texas, nephew Mark Turcotte of Katy, Texas, nephew Brad Turcotte of Nashville, Tennessee, niece Linda Beth Mook of Houston, Texas, brother-in-law Billy Emerson of San Antonio, Texas, nephew Keith Emerson of Taylor, Texas, nephew Todd Emerson of College Station, Texas, and mother-in-law Faye Emerson of San Antonio, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, brother Douglas M. Turcotte, and sister Jeanette Mook.
Visitation will be on December 2, 2020 from 4-8pm at Sunset Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78218. Graveside service will be the following morning, December 3, 2020 at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
