Claiborne Lloyd Braswell, Jr.

Lloyd served in the U.S. Navy for two years, then attended Louisiana Tech where he ran track and played football. He married his high school sweetheart, "Babe", in 1949 and they soon moved back to Minden, LA where they raised their three children.

With a new job for Dow Chemical as a technical writer, the family relocated to Titusville, Florida in 1966, where they stayed for four years. Another new job brought them to San Antonio where he worked at Southwest Research Institute as an editor in their publishing department until he retired.

Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Barbara; his brother, Arnold and wife Ione Braswell of Virginia; his brother, Donald, Sr., and wife Gaye Braswell of Boerne, TX; his sister, Judianne Myers of Longview, TX; his son, Ken and wife Carolyn Braswell of McKinney, TX; his daughter, Marsha Stiles and husband Jerry of San Antonio, TX; his son, John and wife Amy Braswell of San Antonio, TX. Grandchildren include Sean Braswell, Jason Stiles and wife Nichole, Shelbie Stiles Bell and husband Dan, Scott Braswell and wife Alit, Karl Braswell, Andrew Braswell, Leah Braswell and Margaret Braswell. Great-grandchildren include Devin Conner, Maddox Mann-Braswell, Julian Stiles, Jove Stiles, Marlo Stiles, Dylan Bell; great-great-grandchild, Haiden Conner, and his loving nieces and nephews.
