Claire was a long time member of Highland Terrace United Methodist Church and had been the choir director there for the last 25 years. She retired from S.A.I.S.D. and was a member of the Bel Meade Garden Club and Highland Park Lioness Club.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Earl Overton; children, Sally Williams and husband, Mac; Susan Murphy and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Chris Williams and wife, Courtney; Megan Taylor and husband, Kevin. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Serenity Home Care and the many nurses and caring physicians who supported her during her recent illness.
