

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, Clara De La Peña de Guerrero, who was called to her heavenly home on February 6th 2025. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church and her faith was a guiding light in her life.
Clara is survived by her children, Arturo Guerrero (Elizabeth), and Monica Guerrero. She was a cherished grandmother to Ashley Guerrero, Valencia Guerrero, Victoria Guerrero, Angelica Vicencio, Michael Vicencio, Gilbert Guerrero III., Viviana Guerrero and Veleyna Guerrero. Her great-grandchildren, Ally Barron and Isael Guerrero, will continue to carry her legacy of love and faith.
She is also survived by her dear siblings, Sixto Jesus De La Peña, Victor Manuel De La Peña, Dolores Edwards, and Julia McNorton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Guerrero Sr., her son, Gilbert Guerrero Jr., her parents, Amalia and Sixto De La Peña and her siblings Rosita Flores, Benjamin De La Peña, and Francisco De La Peña.
Clara devoted herself to her family, putting their needs above her own. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her gentle spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.
A Visitation for Clara will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Porter Loring Mortuary, located at 1101 McCullough Ave., San Antonio, Texas 78212. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM.
On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, a procession will depart from Porter Loring Mortuary at 10:00 AM, leading to a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 1710 Clower, San Antonio, Texas 78201. Burial will then take place at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Road, San Antonio, TX 78237.
