
MSgt Clarence Frank Fontish, USAF Ret., age 60, of San Antonio, died on Thursday, February 20, 2003. He was a Mason and a member of the DAV and VFW. After serving 20 years in the Air Force, he worked for Civil Service and retired from the Air Force Military Personnel Center at Randolph AFB in 1999. He loved researching his Bohemian roots and family tree.
"Butch" had a wonderful sense of humor and loved playing jokes on people, especially his sisters, mother-in-law, and grandson. He was an avid computer fan and enjoyed emailing people all around the world. He also loved his fuzzy sidekick and constant companion, Sophie, the Wonder Dog.
He was a joyful, positive person who brought humor and love to his family and cared deeply for his friends. Clarence was truly a person you were lucky to know and luckier to love. His family is grateful for the moments they shared with him. He will be missed everyday, remembered always, and loved forever.
His parents Gertrude and Clarence Fontish, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Marion Dianne Fontish of San Antonio; son, Clarence F. Fontish, Jr., of Sugarland; grandson, Frank Anthony Fontish; sisters, Shirley Roach of Denver, NC, and Gertrude Pendleton of La Crosse, WI.
