He graduated from St Mary's University with a business degree, became a CPA and enjoyed a lengthy accounting career in San Antonio. He was especially proud of his time with Church's Chicken. He was well known in the local bowling community for his numerous 300 games and 800+ series. He ran weekly ACT bowling tournaments in the 90's plus partnered in the Texas Master Tour tournaments all over Texas. He loved to travel, eat great meals and tell stories with friends. He is survived by his wife of 42 years (his bride, he would say), Linda, step-son Bill Eisenhauer (wife Suzanne) and son Tom Hathaway. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Scholarship Fund for the Academy of Learning in Retirement (ALIR), 8750 Tesoro Dr. San Antonio, TX 78217, would be appreciated. An informal Life Celebration will be held for friends and family at the Hathaway residence on Thursday, April 17th from 2:00-4:00pm
