Born in Asia Minor, Clementine Kaplanis Parker fell asleep in the Lord on December 25, 2006, leaving this life on her 92nd year on Earth to await the resurrection of the dead and the life of the age to come.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Pangalos Parker. She, her husband and two children moved from Detroit, Michigan to San Antonio, Texas in 1953.
Clementine has been a faithful member of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church and a Christian example to her family and friends. She always looked for and found the good in people. She was admired and respected by all who knew her.
Though an active member of St. Sophia Philoptochos, Church Women United, and the Daughters of Penelope, she never sought recognition and chose to work quietly in the background.
She had a special God given gift to sense the needs of others and gently went out of her way to visit people, send cards of encouragement, and financially help philanthropic organizations.
She adored her grandchildren and loved the special joy she received from being with her great grandchildren. Clementine is survived by her daughter Nina and husband, Harry Rokas, her son Angelo and wife, Dena Parker, and her sister, Matilda Tolar.
She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Michael Rokas, Maria Christon, Denise and Alyssa Parker and four great grandchildren, Lizabeth and John Parker Rokas, and Dimitri and Nicholas Christon along with numerous nieces and nephews.
