CMSGT Gailon Bryum Combs Sr. USAF (Ret.), age 95, entered the arms of the Lord on August 25, 2015 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on February 3, 1920 in Alex, OK to Joseph T. Combs and Lillie Roper-Combs.
In 1941, he answered his country’s call to duty; serving our country Honorably for over 26 yrs, receiving several commendations and citations during his career. Gailon was also an accomplished bowler. He lived his life to the fullest and left a legacy of love for all to remember.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willa Jane Combs and son, Gailon Byrum Combs Jr. He is survived by his Grandson, Chad M. Combs and his wife, Crystal; Great-Grand Daughter, Farrah A. Combs; Great-Grandson, Brennen Byrum Combs; and Nieces, Linda Combs-Haskins and Faye Combs-Gray.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home. Masonic Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 9:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park with U.S.A.F. Military Honors.
