COL Ret Harvey Bryan Johns Jr. has returned to the care of our maker on July 6, 2022. Born in Blackwell Ok. on April 21, 1929, the middle son between two sisters of Harvey Johns Sr. and Jewell L Johns. Having graduated Oklahoma Military Academy as well as The University of Oklahoma and entered the US Army in November 1951. Harvey served tours in Germany, Vietnam, and multiple assignments across the continental US and Hawaii. Harvey then further honed his skills by graduating from US Army Command and General Staff College, US Army War College, and USC Graduate School. Harvey was a crisp 93 years young at passing and is survived by his sister Sharon, Daughter in law Barbara Johns, and remaining son Tim. Burial for this incredible man will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.
