Colleen Harris Koenig

Colleen was born in San Antonio on October 7, 1941 and was a 7th generation Texan, related to Sylvanus Castleman, one of "The Old Three Hundred" who came to Texas with Stephen F. Austin.

She is a member-at-large of The Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

Colleen loved the Lord and enjoyed attending Oak Ridge Baptist Church.

She'll be most remembered by her family, friends and neighbors for her ever present smile, kind heart and love of animals.

Colleen is survived by her husband of 51 years, Herman; brother Phil Harris (Linda) of Rockport; sister Victoria Sanger (Carl) of Poteet; son Todd (Stacy) of Valley Mills; daughter Tammy (Danielle) of Helotes; four beautiful grandchildren Cody, Garret, Remington and Oliver; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses, staff and Drs. Diamond and Luna of DaVita on Floyd Curl as well as Odyssey Hospice.

Visitation will be held at Oak Ridge Baptist Church on Friday, October 11th from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
