Our beloved mother Conception “Connie” Morin left this earth to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. We honored our beautiful, funny, and very loving mother. She was a brilliant & talented artist. She was a real songbird who loved taking photographs. Connie’s whole life was spent in San Antonio, TX, where she met her husband Valentin Morin and together they had ten wonderful children. Her children were very helpful in her declining years; regardless of where they lived. She loved her music and would sing throughout the day. When she sang, it would bring closure on whatever was troubling her.
Connie Morin, 84 years old, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on January 17, 2024. She was born Conception Abad on February 17, 1939 to Macario and Guadalupe Abad in San Antonio, Texas. Connie was a loving mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, and even great-great grandmother. Connie is survived by her brother and sister – Robert Abad and Amelia Abad; her children - Jesse Morin (Delia), Alfred Morin (Arlene), Macario Morin, Betty Morin (Gregg), Joseph Morin (Lisa), Albert Morin, Kelly Morin Garcia (Ike), and Johnny Joe Morin. She was preceded in death by her parents Macario and Guadalupe Abad, her husband Valentin Morin, and two sons, Valentin Morin Jr (Lydia) and Trinidad Morin (Paula).
Mom loved her family. She was our hero, a caring aunt, a wonderful sister, and a loving daughter. On Wednesday at 6:23 in the evening she left her frail body and became a citizen of God’s glorious kingdom. We were planning a celebration for her 85th birthday for the following month of February 17, 2024, unfortunately God’s plan was for her to join his glorious kingdom.
Our hearts are broken, she was eighty-four and we were so blessed to have her in our lives for that long. She is now living eternally with her Precious Savior, Jesus Christ.
Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her beloved children, siblings, and numerous grandchild (26): Priscilla, Stacy, Valentin III, Tiffani, Alyssa, Rhiannon, Jesse Jr., Jennifer, Marc, Jonathan, Josiah, Elizabeth, Ryan, Alfred Jr., Abraham, Alexander, Adriana, Andrew, Allison, Joseph Jr., Ashley, Anthony, Zoie, Judas, Ashlyn, and Michael. Along with many life friends, Great-Grandkids (36), and one Great-Great-Grandchild. She also loved and cared for her dogs who were like her babies.
She was an avid member of the local retirement center “Willie Cortez Senior Multi-Service Center”. Attending the center brought joy to her life after the deaths of 2 of her sons. She loved talking with the “girls” as she would call them and would look forward to attending the outings. She made many memories there and cherished all her friends. She loved to cook and baked for all kinds of celebrations, her pineapple upside down cake was the best. Connie was good at many things and truly enjoyed spending time with family and loved ones. She had a beautiful smile and beautiful soul.
A piece of our hearts is gone with her, however, “If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I’d walk right up to Heaven to bring her home again”. To say we will miss her is an understatement. We look forward to rejoicing with her and our family one day. Our hearts are glad that she is singing with her beautiful voice and beautiful spirit. We will honor her life by continuing what she had instilled in all of us... to be strong, to have faith, and to be there for each other. We are hugging you in our soul MOM. We truly miss and love you very much MOM,
“May you Rest in Peace now”.
