"Connie" was a remarkable mother. She and her husband, Robert, of 49 years marriage reared 4 sons. Through hard work and support, along with their values of education, compassion, and dedication, they enabled their children to succeed. All 4 of their sons graduated from Stanford University and then Stanford University School of Medicine. 4 siblings each graduating from both the undergraduate and medical school at Stanford has never been matched at any time in Stanford University's history-- a remarkable feat, given her family's humble beginnings on the West Side of San Antonio. Her sons subsequently founded one of the largest physician groups in San Antonio, providing healthcare to approximately 100,000 patients in San Antonio and the surrounding areas. "Miss Connie", as she was was affectionately known to patients, worked alongside her sons for 17 years as a "greeter" in their primary care clinic.
Connie was loved by all who knew her, and serves as a role model to parents who strive for the best in their children and for giving back to the community. It has been said that Connie and her husband, Robert, have done as much to provide quality healthcare to San Antonio's underprivileged than any other parents in our city.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Raymond, and her sister Martha.
She is survived by her four sons: Robert S. Reyna, M.D., Rowland S. Reyna, M.D., Richard S. Reyna, M.D., and George S. Reyna, M.D., as well as her many grandchildren.
