Consuelo C. Guzman

Connie was born in the Northside of San Antonio to Tiburcio and Matiana Castoreno on May 27, 1950. She attended Holmes High School and was in the first graduating class. She married Daniel Guzman on October 2, 1976. She worked in the medical field from the age of 14 and opened her own medical billing business in 1999. She was an active member of her parish, Our Lady of Guadalupe. Later in life, she discovered a love for ballroom dance. Over the past twelve years, she enjoyed dance classes and showcasing her dance performances.

She is preceded in death by her parents Tiburcio and Matiana; siblings Ofelia (grande), Johnny, Filomeno, Joe, Jesse, Ernest, Hortencia, Esperanza, Annie, Adelina, and Carmen.

She is survived by her spouse, Danny; daughters Elisa Gonzalez Esparza and her spouse, Gina Esparza, Carmen Martinez and her spouse Richard Martinez III and Hope Guzman and her spouse, Richard Triano; siblings Gene Castoreno, Ofelia Ortega, Olga Martinez and Lucy Castoreno; grandchildren Devin Gonzalez, Richard Martinez IV and Daniel Martinez; great-grandchildren Laila Gonzalez and Elliot Martinez and her grandpups, Penny Lou, Popcorn Lou, Nova Baines and Pumpkin Lou.

Visitation will take place at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, located at 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238, on February 23, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. A second visitation will occur on February 24, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by a procession at 10:15 am.

Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church - Helotes, 13715 Riggs Rd, Helotes, TX 78023, on February 24, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Committal will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209, on February 24, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
