born January 11, 1971, in Eagle Pass, Texas to Maria Teresa Segura and Eugenio Cruz.
Cindy grew up in Eagle Pass, Texas and was truly one of a kind. From her early days of swimming in Elm
Creek with her brothers and sister, she grew into a woman who loved hunting, fashion, music, cars,
jewelry, antiques, and most of all family. Cindy later moved to San Antonio where she continued her
career of retail management; taking care of both her customers and her employees. Cindy was always a
leader to those who wanted to succeed and shared generously in her successes. It was this career that led
her to the love of her life, her husband Saul. Cindy will be remembered by so many different people for so
many different reasons. Her hobbies and interests were shared with all her friends and family, and she was
very gracious in both her gifts and her time.
Cindys diversity in her relationships highlighted her ability to reach out and connect with individuals on
so many levels. A few particular relationships that she cherished greatly were those with her two sons,
Bobby and Richard, as well as with her grandchildren Stephanie and Tuna, and a loving daughter-in-law
Maria. They were her greatest joys and she loved spending every minute she could with them.
Cynthia is survived by her husband of 15 years, Saul Garcia; son, Robert Fernandez (Maria); son Richard.
grandchildren Stephanie and Richard Jr.; her mother Maria Teresa Segura Cruz, her father Eugenio Cruz;
her brother Eugenio Cruz Jr. (Mari), her brother David, her sister Mary (Ray), her brother Eddie (Zulma);
as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and a lifetime (a lot) of friends.
