It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dale R. Hart. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He departed us on September 16, 2023, at the age of 74, and he will be dearly missed. Dale was born to Don and Maurice Hart in 1949. At the age of 15, Dale was the first member in his troup to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. While attending Lake Highlands, Dale was a proud member of the high school band. Dale was a gifted musician and played bass guitar with The Jesters and The Butterscotch Blues. After high school, Dale graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Shortly after college, Dale began working at AT&T where he met his wife Elsa. The couple married in 1977 and had two wonderful children, Melissa and Matthew. After 37 years of service, Dale retired from AT&T as a Human Resources Area Manager. Throughout his career, he provided guidance to those around him and was an inspiration to all. His genuine interest in understanding people and his skill for building bridges made him not just an amazing HR professional, but a confidant and mentor to many. Dale was an active member of his community throughout his life. He held leadership positions in the AT&T Pioneers Community Service Organization, the Rotary Club, the Towne and Country Optimist Club, and served as President of the HOA in the community where he lived. Dale was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with his family. Dale especially enjoyed spending time at the family ranch in South Texas. He loved sweets, Gunsmoke, and history. He was a great listener, always had good advice, and had an abundance of friends. He maintained friendships from grade school, high school, college, and work. After he retired, Dale continued to make new friends, including his "coffee buddies" who he loved dearly. Dale was a dedicated family man. He was deeply loved by his wife, children, grandchildren, and so many others. While his passing will leave a void that cannot be filled, his legacy will live on in the hearts of the countless lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dain A. Hart. Dale is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Elsa Hart; daughter Melissa Hart (Brian Bagwell); son Matthew Hart (Audrey); grandchildren Brendan Roush, Pierson Bagwell; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and a lifetime of friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday October 12, 2023 at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
